An opportunity exists for an Assistant Manager to join the charities team within our London offices.


Working with the Charities & Not for Profit Core group based within Consumer Business in London. Joining a specialist group you will have the opportunity to develop and achieve your career aspirations. There are opportunities to gain exposure to a large range of charity clients, including not only audit but also advisory work.

With significant growth within the Charities & Not for Profit sectors in the last year, the office is expanding and looking for additional resources to help this team go from strength to strength.

You will have the opportunity to become involved in a range of advisory assignments including transaction advisory support, consulting projects and other technical advice. You will also be expected to assist with technical initiatives and to contribute to our significant business development activities.

The role

Audit planning
Day to day management of field teams
Review of audit work
Liaison with key client staff
Management of reporting requirements, including attendance at meetings.
Lead teams on challenging engagements, including transaction and project work
Develop and mentor more junior members of staff
Involvement in tendering for new clients
Education/Technical requirements

Educated to degree level
A professional accounting qualification (ACA or equivalent)
Knowledge of UK GAAP and Charities SORP
Experience with Charity audits
Personal skills

Highly proficient oral and written communication skills
Highly motivated and committed
Positive and ambitious attitude
Ability to develop strong client relationships
Project management capabilities
Additional information

You will be required to travel to client sites in this role.
