We are currently looking for a Meeting & Events Hostess to support the Meeting & Events Team at Park Plaza Victoria London

Under the general guidance of the Meeting & Events Operations Manager, as a Meeting and Events Hostess, you will be responsible for assisting with the direction of all Meetings & Events clients. As Meeting and Events Hostess you will also ensure the delivery of effective & clear communication of any client requests to the supervisor on duty. You will further ensure that all welcome packs are prepared with the correct information for all Meetings & Events. As Meeting and Events Hostess you will also assist the Meeting and Events Supervisors where needed.

Other duties may include:

·To assist HOD and Assistant HOD with Co-ordinating the office work and the training within the department.

·Inform guests all of hotel facilities and activities.

·Informing the organizer of the Supervisor on duty who will be looking after their meeting.

·To have knowledge of setting up, storage and safe handling and care of hotel Meeting & Event equipment.

·To liaise with maintenance on a regular base and report any faults within the department.

·To ensure on all occasions you observe safe and hygienic working practices in order to satisfy Health and Safety at Work, Food Hygiene and other statutory legislation.

·To attend work consistently well groomed, in uniform, as laid down to the standard required.

·To accept other duties as requested by Management in order to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel.

·To be conversant with the hotel's complaints procedure.

·To fill out Meetings & Events log for all meetings.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have previous experience gained within hospitality.

For Meeting and Events Hostess position you will also be fluent in English, hard working, organized, a team player, have excellent communication skills, be motivated and professional in appearance and presentation. You will be computer literate with good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
