Account Manager - FMCG

The Account Manager will manage and deliver data-driven insights and communications for FMCG suppliers of Sainsbury's.

The Account Manager will :

Provide daily support to manager, specifically focusing on direct comms campaigns and analytical work
Manage and develop strong, productive relationships
Manage activity for your FMCG clients and deliver against budget and timelines, working with (and managing where appropriate) key contacts across creative development and print/production
Work alongside Data Planners and Analysts to understand the processes and methodology required to deliver strategic quantitative and qualitative analysis, and monitor deliverly against timings
Manage financial aspects from forecasting through to invoicing to ensure maximum profitability against annual targets
Ensure that results are communicated to FMCG clients at appropriate times, meeting the individual requirements of each brief with a recommendation for future invesment
Manage the Graduate Account Executive against specific objectives, ensuring quality and timely delivery of work; offering ongoing day to day support and identifying training needs
Research/monitor industry trends and related competitive threats, assess new market opportunities as appropriate to the I&C business and its key FMCG
Skills and experience required:

Ideally with degree level/MBA/postgraduate qualification (marketing major preferred); or equivalent business experience
Minimum 2 years postgraduate experience, with 1 or more years of client-related marketing experience, ideally in retail or FMCG
Experience in database marketing, advertising, promotions (with focus on retail accounts)
Excellent project management/communication/presentation skills, well organised and detailed
Ability to manage suppliers at all levels; proven negotiation skills, articulate and confident
Self motivated with an understanding of analytics and the creative development process
Experience of working to quarterly (and annual) targets across multiple channels
High energy, proactive and a team player
All applicants must be eligible to work in the EU and will preferably be currently located in the UK.
