A leading name within the telecoms world required a Bid Manager to join and drive the bid support process forward

The role:

Agreeing the resource required with the relevant manager and getting their 'buy in' to the release of that resource
Management of Virtual Bid Teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, products, finance, operations and legal
Allocating responsibilities within the Virtual Bid Team and ensuring that all members are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines
Ensuring that all Virtual Bid Team members are fully aware of all details relating to the Bid and that the Virtual Bid Team members have read and understood all the documents provided. Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process

Skills required:

Preparing and reviewing all aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer.
Ownership of the quality of the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as preparation of an executive summary, proof reading, sense checking, sole authorship)
Ensuring the timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids
Review of final submissions and coordination of bid presentations in the event of a successful submission

Proven capability in delivering winning propositions in the SME market for networks and hosting solutions and services
Size product or complex services opportunities
Experience in all aspects of bid campaign management from opportunity identification through to project delivery and will provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions and solution delivery.
Must be comfortable working at Director Level (internal and external customer)
Will be fully conversant with the competitive marketplace
Have the ability to manage complex, multi-work stream opportunities.
Solid understanding and management of internal governance procedures
Degree educated
Customer-facing and presentable
