A Group Reservations Supervisor role in a small Reservations department has become available within this fast growing Wholesale Tour Operator, handling incoming groups to Europe/UK with plans to expand into other markets around the world.

Job Description:

You will oversee a small Reservations Team whose main responsibility is to liaise with hotels across Europe by telephone to confirm accommodation for group bookings which then need to be processed through our client's in-house reservations system (Tourplan) which need to be monitored for accuracy.

You will instill a positive and pro-active can-doapproach within the team as well as ensuring all inter-departmental deadlines are met and policies and procedures followed. Ideally, you will possess a sound knowledge of European destinations as well as European language skills. This is a hands-on supervisory position given the size of the team and, occasionally, responsibilities will include participating in weekend and bank holiday Rota duty during the high season.

Main Responsibilities:

- Excellent organisational and implementation skills
- Flexible approach to daily responsibilities
- Ability to build relationships with hotel partners as well as with work colleagues
- Possessing a hands-onapproach to rate negotiations with hotels in order to control and optimise profitability within the department
- Possessing the awareness to instil within the team a positive approach to optimising deals and increasing productivity
- Supporting the client-facing departments within the company
- Collating information gathered within the department regarding new hotel products which is to be passed to the Purchasing team with a view to optimising the products through official contractual agreements
- Ability to lead by example by ensuring a positive and professional image is portrayed to industry partners and colleagues at all times.
- Reporting internal and external issues to the Senior Purchasing Manager
- Mentoring staff and setting daily objectives

Key skills/Experience required:

- Previous experience within a B2B Tour Operator or Hotel Team environment.
- Computer literate, ideally with previous experience of an in-house computer system (though training will be provided) and Microsoft Office and Excel,
- Attentive approach with a keen eye for detail and pride in delivering a good service
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Work with accuracy and efficiency in a pressurised environment
