Skills and Knowledge ·Excellent selling skills and understanding of sales processes ·Strong analytical skills to develop and review reports (including Revenue Management) and determine other opportunities and ways to increase business levels. ·Systems knowledge (MARSHA, Opera. Education or Certification 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major preferred ·The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position

Sales & Marketing ·Manages leisure & entertainment accounts. ·Works with Film Studios and entertainment agents to drive business in line with hotel sales strategies ·Proactively identifies, qualifies, and solicits new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals. ·Closes the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs. ·Understands competitors' strengths and weaknesses, and knows how to sell against them. ·Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts. ·Effectively develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities. ·Prospects new leisure & entertainment business through phone solicitation, on-site sales calls, customer visits to the hotel, trade shows, sales blitzes, direct mail, newspaper and on-line research. ·Drives and manages leisure & entertainment account production through improved customer loyalty and excellent account management. ·Negotiates appropriate rates for assigned accounts. ·Works with the Revenue Manager to squat on accounts where necessary. ·Develops accurate contracts and offers and gains the commitment of the customer. ·Possesses knowledge and appreciation of EDITION, its brand culture, philosophies and initiatives. ·Adheres to all EDITION standards, policies, and procedures ·Follows overall corporate sales strategy as specified by the Director of Sales & Marketing. ·Performs other duties as assigned to meet business
