About the role
The National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) is recruiting for a Programme Manager to join its London-based team.
The Programme Manager will develop projects in two areas that have been identified as priorities for coordination by NCRI Partners: surgical research and imaging research. NCRI's work in each topic is at a different stage of development as described in the role profile, and the Programme Manager will draw on the expertise of researchers, funders and colleagues to advance these areas.
The contract will be for 12 months to match currently available funding.

About the post holder
This role would suit a person who has experience of the research environment, strong written and verbal communication skills, and can work independently. You'll be able to build strong working relationships with medical and scientific experts from a range of disciplines, to analyse and present complex information, and to manage projects effectively from start to finish.

About the National Cancer Research Institute (www.ncri.org.uk)
The NCRI is a partnership organisation comprising 22 of the largest cancer research funding bodies in the UK; this includes government partners, charities and the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry. The NCRI brings its partners together to work on a variety of projects in order to maximise the benefits from their investment in cancer research.
The NCRI Secretariat is hosted by one of the NCRI partners, Cancer Research UK, at its head office in London (EC1). The successful candidate will be employed by Cancer Research UK.
